Re: Is the 320x24b larger net the strongest around for RTX GPU?

... When analyzing single position, Lc0 consumes memory as time increases. Tried to monitor Lc0 v0.21.2 memory usage, this is on blas backend on 2 threads. https://i.imgur.com/71ccA7x.png This is generally dangerous to a computer, to avoid system undefined behaviour when all your computer memory ar...

Re: Is the 320x24b larger net the strongest around for RTX GPU?

I can not find any kind of memory leak on my system. Here is a screen shot of Lc0 playing Stockfish. Each program was given 16 GB of ram. I see no unbound memory usage in game play at all. And everything resets normally after each game. I am confused as to what others are seeing. What does it mean ...

Re: Is the 320x24b larger net the strongest around for RTX GPU?

Please, explain me why Leela needs more and more memory when I run a game. Moreover during the next games memory usage of Leela enhances further until the full virtual memory exhausted. We tried several times to reproduce memory leak claims, but were never able to. If it Lc0 indeed grows memory con...

... I need, when using 2xRTX 2080 Ti GPUs, 64 GB RAM for 1 hour. =640 GB for 10 hours =1280 GB for 20 hours. =1536 GB for 24 hours. =Threadripper with 2 TB RAM makes sense . Re: Is the 320x24b larger net the strongest around for RTX GPU?

There is a basic problem to make test match with longer TC than blitz: You need a hardware with huge RAM. Leela has a very unpleasant behavior namely her memory usage enhances together with the playing time. When you use Leela for infinite analysis it is a natural phenomenon but if you make a conse...

Re: buying a new computer

The huge memory usage of Lc0 is a returning theme on the sites of LC0. But this is the first established answer for it. Why, Dear "crem"? Is it so great secret? I can not believe the developers of Leela can not make modifiable the usage of RAM with an UCI parameter. Maybe it would decrease the Leel...

Re: buying a new computer

I don't think lc0 consumes that much memory and from my calculations it could go upto 17 hours analysis with just 12 gb ram. Thats one of the reason i decided to stick with 16 gb ram. Daniel 1 node takes 250 bytes, or in other words 1GB is needed for 4M nodes. (and also one NN cache entry takes 350...
