Re: On-line engine blitz tourney July

Yes, it happened again. Sad part is these two pretty wins were lost to the ether as neither were saved in the WinBoard PGN.

Re: On-line engine blitz tourney July

It appeared to me that KingSlayer lost on time vs RookieMonster in the first round, but instead of a result, I got a message about an invalid command once its time had expired. I then logged out and can no longer get back in; it seems to think I'm entering non alpha characters for a user name. If no...

Re: Wizards v Warlocks Teams Match

FYI: The poll is not registering my vote, and the results don't show any votes from others either, so perhaps that's a feature that no longer works on the new forum.

Re: Yet another tt issue

Interesting. So, Sven, you only use the TT in zero-window/non-PV nodes? Also, what's the harm in using it at the root if the depth is appropriate, it's an exact type TT entry, and the score it holds is between alpha and beta? Feels like I've tried it every which way, and currently, I do use the TT i...

I just checked the latest Komodo development version and it find Qd4 almost instantly. We have improved it a lot. It will be a free update for Komodo 12 owners.

Do you mean 23.Qc4 ? That's the move AlphaZero played vs Stockfish 8.

Good idea. Unfortunately, a new signature doesn't apply to old posts (unless I'm missing a setting).
It does. The signature is a property of the user, not of a post.
By old posts, I guess I mean the ones made before the upgrade. I've checked some of mine, and they don't have my signature.

Grouped by 4, each position (of the 4) should have identical evaluation. If not, then there is an evaluation bug.
It looks like the castling rights aren't being adjusted on the color flips.

Re: Regarding Talkchess update and features

Seems faster, is easy to use, and the code blocks having scrollbars instead of taking up the whole page is nice. Just need to get the diagram and pgn tags working again, and we're back in business. :) Oh, and I agree the real names display in the old forum was nice, though it still showed usernames ...
