Re: How close to Human FIDE rating are the engine ratings?

Unless there was some other Tang-Leela contest of which I'm unaware, the game that Tang won against Leela was VERY early in the project. The net he played against wasn't even close to the strength of the current nets (for reference, the game was played in April 2018; Leela fell for a one move discov...

Re: Stockfish play very decent giving pawn odds.........

Yeah, as I suspected the combination of 30+10, only having to win 1/10, and two pawns makes a 2700 a huge favorite. At two pawns would need to give a 2700 fewer games to try to win and/or shorten the TC. If I had a lot of money to throw around I'd put up a prize for something similar against some la...

Re: Stockfish play very decent giving pawn odds.........

Repeating the claim doesn't make me any more convinced :) What will be tested in a few days are those odds at 30+10, which will us nothing about 5+0. I'm well aware that SF does not play optimally against humans with large odds. I'm also well aware how many tactical mistakes even very strong humans ...

Re: Stockfish play very decent giving pawn odds.........

I'm not sure about it being such a sure thing at 5+0, with all the tactical mistakes made at that TC.

I don't think you're going to find a GM willing to test that out, though, so it'll probably stay speculation.

Re: Leela Chess Zero Makes Mind-Blowing Piece Sacrifice!

Yes, there is a way.

On the main page you can select events with the dropdown circled on the right, and then click on the download link circled next to the board:

Then in the download pop-up:

Re: Leela Chess Zero Makes Mind-Blowing Piece Sacrifice!

Yeah, different event and different game. Here's the game from PGN (full PGN so far for the event can be found at https://cccfiles.chess.com/archive/tournament-105870.pgn): [Event "ECO MegaMatch II! (1|1)"] [Site "Chess.com"] [Date "2020.05.20"] [Round "648"] [White "Lc0-dev"] [Black "Stockfish"] [R...

Re: Bmi2 and AMD

There was a recent update of an old thread viewtopic.php?f=7&t=67432 that suggested there is no improvement.

I'm also not aware of any improvements, but I only follow these things loosely, so take with a grain of salt :)
