An incredibly beautiful confrontation. Congratulations, again !
Thank You for the testing! I'm very happy with result. I trained this net only 12 hours long on one core.

(and since 5.0 I have found another 10 elo. I think there will be an improved version, but a bit later)

Re: TomitankChess tested vs McBrain 9.6 JS..

As was mentioned before McBrain v9.6 JS IS The Worlds Strongest Javascript engine (There also is a SF 10 JS)... What do I start with an .exe file in the browser? How can i modify? (If I want) Where is the [.js] source code? I'ts pure JavaScript or converted from C++? tomitankChess is pure JavaScrip...

Re: NNUE and game phase

Because of its futile. It's depend on the inputs. NN learn this. Please read more about neural networks. Smug and wrong, not a good combo. It might easily turn out that a different board representation as the input to the NN or a different NN architecture or a different number of parameters is supe...

Re: tomitankChess 5.0 with NN

Is it also true of Javascript engines? Not the same thing. In my experience they behave the same way whatever GUI you use. For javascript engines you replace java with node and give the engine file as a parameter. Only, with java you have to use -jar "engine.jar" while with node only "engine.js" ha...

Re: NNUE and game phase

Strong chess engines have information to help them handle changes in game state from opening to middle to endgame (some more complicated than others) Why not do this with NNUE engines? Analyze 100 million opening positions to make an opening NNUE clump. Analyze 100 million midgame positions to make...

Re: tomitankChess 5.0 with NN

Just played in the browser - very strange thing has happened - in Ruy Lopez exchange on c6 variation I had a position when knight on f6 was attacking pawn on e4. I've defended with d2d3 and than knight captured on e4. I played a few moves and got winning endgame. I'm very weal player, around 1700 E...

Re: It's NNUE era (sharing my thoughts)

You have to labour for the NNUE eval too. Unless you are a coward and reuse the code and weights that Stockfish already gave you. NNUE is not a magic bullet -- Stockfish NNUEs are a magic bullet. Everyone who has tried to replicate NNUE on their own will know this. @Dann Corbit: This is the most im...

tomitankChess 5.0 with NN

Hi all! Here is the new version of world stongest JavaScript chess engine! This is quite different from the SF solution. - network is only 768x16x1. Smaller than I've seen before. - it does not replace evaluation, it only compensates that. (*) - trained only with 2.7M example. - The network is not c...
