Re: 366 beats Fire 7.1

What was the time control in this game? Were other games played? Unless you're using a very long time control, I imagine you made these two engines play more than one game right? You can't just have them play on game at something like 300+5 and leave it at that.

Re: Xiphos 0.2.2

Milos - I'm watching Xiphos vs Ethereal in the 3rd game of Division 3 of TCEC. Xiphos speed is fluctuating wildly. In Division 4 it used to stay above 90 mN/s for the whole game but now it's up at 90 for one move and down to 40 the next. I have no idea whether that's a problem or if it's some kind o...

Re: YLCET is no more!

Of course we have the right to comment on his decision, just as he has the right to ignore whatever we say.

It would be great if all the PGNs could be transferred to this site somehow so the record of all those games is not lost.

Re: YLCET - What's the next tournament?

I’d like to see Fire, Andscacs, and Fizbo facing off in the same way that the top 3 have done previously in YLCET. These engines are free, publicly available and represent the lower half of the TCEC Premier Division. I’ve excluded Chiron development versions and Ginkgo because they are both private ...

Re: Is there anymore top engine games won by tactics!?

http://tcec.chessdom.com/archive.php?se=11&di=P&ga=181 Look at this Final FEN from Chiron vs Fire in TCEC Season 11. Fire's knight forks Chiron's King and Queen. That was where the game ended but you can easily see how FIre would go on to win convincingly. This is a really obvious example of a basi...

Re: Chess World to Google Deep Mind..Prove You beat Stockfis

I'd be really interested is seeing all the drawn games and understanding how they came to be drawn. Clearly AlphaZero isn't amazing 100% of the time. The way people talk about this match, you'd think AlphaZero won all 100 games. Clearly Stockfish wasn't that weak because it managed to hold for 72 dr...
