Re: Leela endgame training?
Hi, as far as I could understand training for 3xxxx NN continues to input whole contributors games (no change here) but substitutes the 5men endgame TB evaluation once such a position is reached for an early accurate and definitive result, not blurred by further randomness (temperature) or lack of k...

Re: Schooner 2
Thanks Dennis for sharing Schooner 2. I report a strange behavior, setting ponder on in sc.ini (running as Winboard engine, using Arena or Winboard): pondering occurs but appears not to trigger an unlimited analysis (stops after roughly getting to similar time and depth as a move turn); in addition ...

Re: Scorpio MCTS+NN: What are the strongest nets?
Hi Daniel,
thanks for sharing Scorpio MCTS.
I run it fine using epd NN (downloaded from Github: Scorpio/releases), but could not find ccrl NN?
Both links to NN in your home page seem to be currently broken.
Regards, Tibono

Funny thing, here is another website
It is copyrighted to Greg Denness but he seems to be manager of the software company, so nothing to conclude regarding the author of the engine. Maybe, maybe not...

Great idea, to train smaller networks as well, for CPU/low class hardware!

Re: Chess Tools
Hi Mesilikas, a short & simple way, not depending on the GUI you are using to run engines: start a command window (cmd.exe), change working directory (cd command) to where your engines are - let's assume Aiquiry directory, then: - start an engine (for instance: master.exe) - enter command: uci - thi...

Re: NUCLEUS
Hi Mesilikas, it is a promising idea; such as using two powerful tactical slaves and letting LCO as master choose the best move (if not same) with its positional skills. Nucleus requires 'time per move' time control which lc0 0.7 will not manage correctly if I remember well. You will need to upgrade...

Re: OpenTal - almost new engine
Pawel and Brendan, thank you ... reading book file 'rodent.bin' (failure) Is there something I can/should do to fix the book file failure? I'm not sure why it couldn't read the rodent.bin book that's present in the same folder, either. I tried redirecting it to the ph-tal2.bin book [after right-cli...
