Re: stockfish.exe marked by AVG free antivirus

The generally accepted solution for this is to have the Stockfish team sign their binaries with some certificate. That is much more likely to get it whitelisted than anything else.

Re: Syzygy question

What we need are clearly DTM50 bases :-)

The affected tables seem to be:
- KQBNvKQB (660 ply)
- KRRNvKRR (581 ply)
- KQBNvKQN (633 ply)
I've removed these from my mirror, and evidently, so has Lichess.

Re: 7-men Syzygy attempt

I'm not seeking donations at this point; in particular, it would seem inappropriate as long as others are donating time on really expensive hardware for free (and there is already the Lichess mirror).

Coincidentally, I see tablebase.lichess.ovh now points to a nice 7-man position :-)

Google evidently thought it should be mirrored some more, and Googlebot appeared at my doorstep to download tablebases… :-P

Now added robots.txt.

Re: 7-men Syzygy attempt

Imagine sesse probing 7-men syzygy, it will definitely be a big jump in analysis power. Do you plan/consider purchase SSDs large enough for probing 7-men WDL or multiple in raid 0? I don't plan to buy 10 TB worth of SSD, no. I currently have two SSDs as cache in front of my RAID-6 array, which cach...

Re: 7-men Syzygy attempt

My estimation was just wild extrapolation. People talked about 10 TB for WDL, and for the current generated 7-man TBs, DTZ files are about 2.6x the size of WDL.

Re: 7-men Syzygy attempt

All checked, now mirrored. 1.2 TB in all, I suppose more to come (although I don't have 35 TB of disk…). 10 Gbit/sec, northern Europe.

Re: 7-men Syzygy attempt

tablebase.sesse.net will also mirror, as soon as I can get everything downloaded and verified somehow (are there checksums anywhere?).

Edit: The OVH mirror was much, much faster for me—a tad under 500 Mbit/sec.
