FWIW, Crystal doesn't LMP the PV, so one might expect results similar to Komodo.

Re: This is a draw, how long does your Stockfish take to see a draw!( Black turn)
Surely, a search based result is more reliable than eval.Do these stockfish's really know the position is drawn, or do they just have some hacked eval modification that equates a lack of progress to a draw.

Re: Crystal Update
Ok, I was able to track down the issue with the Rc1 position and fix the regression there. The second position I consider more or less resolved as well. When fed the position after Kh8, it properly detects the queen stalemate and eventually switches over to promoting to rook. This takes a little bit...

Re: Crystal Update
I don't think so? For a second I thought I must have missed something, but playing through alternate lines.... Again, I see no reason for promoting to a queen to be a draw. EDIT: OK, I found it. Indeed a stalemate issue 4 ply from the end, the queen can not recapture the bishop without delivering st...

Re: Crystal Update
Thanks for the position and for the hint that matefinder sees it. There is really only a couple of things it could be, and I have a pretty good idea which one it is. Will see if I can do something about it.....

Re: Crystal Update
I hope You have looked at Houdini 6 tactical mode source. It solves some tactics still faster than Crystal even being from 2017! To be honest, I doubt I will. While the code is GPL, it was undoubtedly not intended to be public, and I have no way of knowing if all of the ideas present are genuinely ...

Re: Crystal Update
Thanks for the kind words. I don't really have the setup to provide high quality cross compiles... But I wouldn't bother with the minor updates for now. I'm still actively working on it and SF dev is going at a rapid pace. Once things slow down a bit and I am confident I have everything I want in fo...
