Re: Regarding Talkchess update and features
Shoveling the job out to google or other advertising conglomerate isnt the only method of getting advertising onto a site. The "thats not how its done" thinking on the matter is equivalent to the old "sacrifices must be accepted" logic. You would think engine authors would understand that when give...

Re: Regarding Talkchess update and features
Nevertheless, advertising is still done by the holder of a site This is not how it works in 2018. Ads are delivered by adservers and auctioned in real-time. Adservers that the site hosters have no control and no say over. What you are suggesting is self-hosted advertising, and the truth is that nob...

Re: Some hyperthreading results
Kai, By disabling turbo boost you are creating a more favorable setup for HT ON. It's as if the reserve CPU cycles (the "boost") are now available to the extra threads, making them more effective. However, leaving turbo boost ON, while disabling HT transfers that benefit to the physical CPUs. Fritz...

Re: Fire 5 is out!
Sometimes history (an enormous history of wrong-doing) should be really enough for scepticism... Sceptism is fine. But it shouldn't lead to different standards. Especially from someone who himself released 2 clones as own work. Really, I didn't know that Günther Simon is a chess programer. What eng...
