Re: slight problem
Concentrate... 1. Left-click on the Komodo 6 download link 2. click 'Save' or 'save file' Note: DON'T screw this up. You can download Komodo-6.zip just once. -------------------------------------- I concentrated , did the left click , and everything went fine , but the DL stopped 3KB short ...........

The FIDE 2013 World Championship set- For Steven!!
First, thank you for articles on chess sets- a subject I love. I cannot talk long tonight- I am sick. Maybe be back in a few days, then again........... My wife type for me here. I really wanted "just the boxed pieces" of the championship set. As I told you, I only use vinyl roll-up boards. (choice ...

Re: Stockfish 4 v Houdini 3 at long time control
Nice array of pcs there George! If I had two 6-core I7s I think that I would definitely try a match between 2 engines with each on its own pc, full cores for each, ponder on. That would get some really nice games at long time control. Thank you. I am considering that, along w...

Re: Stockfish 4 v Houdini 3 at long time control
Thanks George. This is basically the same SF as the "official" version except that the "memory leak" was fixed. I did not think that it made too much sense to play a long match at long time control with a version that people would say had a known "flaw". So far i...

Re: Stockfish 4 v Houdini 3 at long time control
The new Stockfish has been doing really well in the tests that I have seen so I thought that a tourney at tourney time controls would be interesting. So far, SF is right there (and in fact leading) after 9 games. The match is between the 64 bit versions of Stockfish 4 SSE4....

Houdini 3 v Stockfish 4 Match Results Are In And Ready!
I hope no one missed the intro on this match. If so, read the above 2 threads before asking a question. Quite possibly the answer to your question lies there. This match was billed as "First To 6 Games"- with a rather longish time control- 60'+15". This was my first 60+15, and I may go with it as t...

Re: An Engine-Engine Test-Preparing For Some Serious Testing
Please no one get their drawers in a wad over this match. Accurate it will be, but not enough games to get excited about. Of course with a rating list I am considering- the control would have to be much faster to get anything done. But this control would be for strictly the playoff matches (best of...

Adam Hair wrote:Sure, George. Just know that I did not create that image of the seagull. I just rescaled it and added "Gaviota" to it. Maybe they won't come and lock me up for doing that
Thanks, Adam. I think we could both get off with a fine and community service.
Best,

Re: Salary
How much are you willing pay me, Henk? For the right price, I can look the other way when you make off-topic posts. I am a lame duck moderator, so I am willing to do about anything if someone will pay me enough ;) Yes, and I ransom Adam 70% of what he makes, so go on. Here's a tricky question, now....
