Re: Weakest engine with multi-PV

Just looking again, Kurt also supports MultiPV, and is ranked slightly lower than Firefly on the UEL rating list (1983 for Firefly, 1966 for Kurt).

Re: Weakest engine with multi-PV

I think the answer to this question might be Firefly.

Firefly supports MultiPV, and is weaker than Glass. Firefly has a rating of 1983 in the UEL rating list.

Re: Chessmaster 4, 5, 5.5, 6 & 7 under Windows XP

I was reading the Ubisoft forums, and one user stated he had success running CM4000 under XP using Microsoft Virtual PC 2004: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=6d58729d-dfa8-40bf-afaf-20bcb7f01cd1 However, you will also have to have a valid copy of Windows 95 or...

Re: OliThink 5.2.2 released with 48MB Hashsize

If I cut and paste this FEN into Arena, then sic OliThink on it, it seems to play normally, without trying to give away the queen. I'm wondering if it's a hash table issue, as it only seems to come up after playing for a little while, and it's tricky to reproduce the strange results that testers are...

Re: http://www.worldchesslive.com/bj/index.html

OK, thanks Ted, obviously there is a problem. I hadn't noticed in Mozilla the warning in the lower right hand corner that said there was an authentication problem. I would like to purchase this product, so I think I'll fire off an email to them and let them know what is going on. That'll teach me to...

Re: http://www.worldchesslive.com/bj/index.html

That's odd. The purchase link goes to an https address (https://www.worldchesslive.com/bj/purchase.html#). Does it revert back to an http address after you've filled out information on several screens?

Re: Are you sick of the Ippo/Robbo spamming of CCC?

I voted yes, because I'm sick and tired of clone bickering drowning out good stuff. There's a new version of Junior out, yet there's nary a word about it in CCC. Apparently people these days are more interesting in putting each other down than talking about computer chess. Link to Bobby Junior: http...

Re: Little Thought Updated

Am I the only one having problems getting Little Thought 1.04 to use its own book? Looking at the Arena debug log, it appears to load the book successfully, printing out the message: Successfully loaded opening book file (LittleThought.book) but it never actually plays any opening moves. I've double...

I emailed Gianluigi Masciulli asking for Golem 0.4, but I never got a response from him. I too wouldn't mind trying out this engine.

I really hope that no mother-in-law reads this thread.

Matthias.
I doubt that any females at all will read this thread.
