and get a rating as a team(of course consulting with other humans and not with computers).

Can a team of 2 humans get higher rating than everyone of them and if yes how much elo improvement they can get relative to the best of them?

Can a team of more than 2 humans get even a higher rating and if yes what is the maximal rating improvement that they can get.

Of course the team has to agree who choose the move when there is a discussion without agreement about the right move.

Unfortunately I know of no chess tournament that is open for teams of more than one player.

Of course consulting should be done without disturbing the opponent so the team members should go to a special room when their opponents do not hear them or to use some language of signs when they do not do a noise.

Teams could be in separate rooms (or other sound-proof divider) with moves relayed over xboard.

Should be easy enough to test the principles of such matches with volunteers.
