Script:
Prepare your favorite chess opening.
Play the first twelve moves rapidly.
Then pretend if you are thinking one hour and that the position is very complex.
After that hour make a very bad move that loses the game immediately.
See how your opponent reacts.
Any other ideas.
[edit] probably one hour thinking is not possible. But half an hour should be possible.

It's a far more interesting study in human psychology to pretend you're not thinking and/or not even not interested in the game. The other player often drops his guard or makes faulty assumptions about your playing strength or about your opening preparation. They are much more likely then to walk right into your preparation.Henk wrote:Script:

The worst situation is to be playing up with black and your opponent is a senior master and you neglected to deny him the opportunity of playing the Kings Gambit.
