Unless they are able to source an alternative, collectively not to go there would just drop the whole thing. Which would be admitting that the whole event just isn't relevant.

The issue is that the date for a championship is fixed. And right now, the problem isn't that other places offer less money - there just are no other places that would care for a tournament that is effectively on FM level.

They should all boycott the event and have it in the UK instead. Of course they will all be forced to wear bikinis instead here and pose individually for a calendar afterwards. This will help to make the game look more glamorous, boost sponsorship and prize money.
