Be nice to see anand or similar, overpower magnus

Post by S.Taylor »

It seems there has been chess activity recently at grenke, or gencke, but again, carlsens nerves are stronger than the others, and he is securing his lead.
Anand at one point was equal first with carlsen.
I feel it would be very nice if an older star would shine again, and not have to stumble because of age related weaknesses.
Even the israeli gelfand was the world championship challenger a few years ago, and only lost in the blitz tiebreaker.
If he would have won, he might have been motivated to defend it one or two times!
But he was older than anand.
He's probably out of the WC for good. And anand too, probably.
I also wouldn't mind to see karjakin get up there again.

I think a young riser is the only chance. And that chance is pretty slim
Taking ideas is not a vice, it is a virtue. We have another word for this. It is called learning.
But sharing ideas is an even greater virtue. We have another word for this. It is called teaching.
