Mark Uniacke has created a site to GIVE AWAY FOR FREE many of the earlier Hiarcs versions
a site has been created which discusses the history of Hiarcs ,its creation and famous moments and games
soon playable versions of earlier Hiarcs versions will be available for download so it would be wise to check back at the site early and often
http://www.hiarcs.com/freechess.htm
i already have a favorite page of my own on the site..
some here may know that recently Harvey Williamson and myself played several games live on PlayChess with Harvey operating Hiarcs 3 and with me behind the Tasc R30
H3 wiped the Tasc off the board
however now i realize i should have used this dedicated computer instead

I had no idea HIARCS had been around for that long. The first I ever heard of it was when it was discussed in the CCR journals in the early 90s I think.

well i have every Chess Challenger released including the very first Chess Challenger with a whopping 1 level of play from 1977
but i think the Chess Challenger 3(3 levels of play) would be a good starting point and i can work my way up from there
therefore let it be known before all of the good members here that i ACCEPT the Challenge
now we need some programming guru to convert the source code
something i could never in a million years do
might as well be Morse Code To Me Regards
Steve

And the winner of the two can then go on to challenge my cat (blindfolded).
