So far the lead is held by Olivier...much to his surprise (but not mine).

Close second is Mainbook by Harry.

Hi Chris,

my understanding is that the HS-Book.abk is the mainbook (just new name)?

Is Olivier's book available from the Arena site? If so, I'll give it a go in my next Arena tournament.

Regards, Graham.

Yes that is true.

HS-Book.abk is the snapshot (work in progress) release of Harry's book which are released on Patrick Buchmann's site, Le Fou numérique.

Final versions appear on the Arena website under the User Files section as does Olivier's GM Book for Arena.

Regards

Christopher

Hi Graham,

HS-Book.abk is a final version and not a beta (as Christopher want to make it believe between the lines)

Is always the best final version available. Mainbook profits, thereafter, from the work done with the HS-Book.abk.
If we stop the work with HS-Book.abk, Mainbook will not have any more update.

There are generally 4 updates in a year. We chose the hollydays (Christmas, Easter) and two other dates with Harry.

All the books by Harry are only available on Fou numérique. ctg for CB, abk for Arena (also H.Schnapp mini.abk), bkt for Shredder Classic and also books in projet

We played more than 81.000 games with the HS-Books.

Regards,
Patrick

So it's a snapshot. All that is done in HS-Book eventually appears in Mainbook. If work stops on HS-Book then there are no more Mainbook releases.

No work in progress = no more Mainbook as they are effectively nearly the same thing, only difference being that HS-Book is a work in progress.

No, Mainbook appears only on the Arena website.

Yes and very good it is too.

I think we are really singing from the same songsheet.

Perhaps Harry could clarify how the mechanism works but it's too late and complicated for me. Just so long as we get a Harry book at the end it don't really matter either way.

Hi Christopher,

We can also write that Mainbook is a HS-Book.abk where the bad lines are not yet corrected

There are very, very few, but there are.

Hi Patrick,

so is it the HS-Book that has a few bad lines not corrected or the Mainbook? Just to clarify for sure.

Regards, Graham.

Oh my god Graham, the main book from the arena site is the older of the two, so it is definitly the main book that has the flaws.
