The rumors about Strelka beeing a Rybka clone is still alive

I think it is ok to keep this thread going as long as people are interested..it is an intriguing question.. (and you can see the interest by number of views)



here is another one of those amusing positions. I've set it up so as to fool rybka (maximizing piece activity, whilst destroying the pawn structure)..

Well, according to both rybka and strelka, it is equal, so you should not prefer a side.

the analysis is not exactly the same? but no other engine is fooled into thinking this is equal

so even if strelka is not a clone, it produces such similar analysis as rybka that maybe it is not that interesting (yet, until it is improved). Why would someone want what is essentially an inferior version of rybka beta 1.0.
