Zap has always been a favourite of mine. Some 18 months ago, when CCRL quad testing burst onto the scene, Quad Zap x64 was the very first quad engine that I tested, and it was superb. It has been a favourite of mine ever since :)

Wow.
thats exactly what we needed. somebody to HOLD rybka.

now everything is possible if there is a next world chess championship
somewhere, because rybka has an opponent in the tournament it cannot beat.
so computerchess is open again.

thanks to anthony, the "retired" champ :-)

i hope many people buy zappa mexico now.
and i hope we get some few updates of it in the near future too.

Congratulations Anthony and Erdo.

Anthony - I hope you find some time during your studies to continue work on your engine. You're an outstanding talent!

Regards, Graham.

Great job by Anthony and Erdo, and a very nice match that has been very exciting to follow!
I hope there is a rematch, but if I was Anthony I would actually enjoy the moment and stay away from official matches for several months at least!

Yes, great job to Anthony and Erdo! I personally hope there is not a rematch any time soon. I think Rybka should have to beat other engines under the same conditions to prove it is worthy of a rematch with Zappa.

Of course she is, but there should be a match Zappa-Junior first.
We need a Reunification match.

You're joking!
Rybka has more than proved itself vs everything else incl. conditions.

Yes, and I will take this oppurtunity to congratulate both. And especialy Anthony, for having reached such a level for the first time in history.
For Anthony, this must feel very rewarding indeed. However, I eagerly await Rybka coming out with something even stronger, and Zappa following suit.
Yes, that's healthy competition, but it still puts me in a quandary ifI want to use only one engine and to stay with it. Question will again be,which one!?
However, they are both probably good enough already. Either of them will probably almost never lose a game to Shredder 7.04, which used to be well on top for a long time. So we have already broken the ice quite well.

er...... ah, so what do we have? Isn't it only Rybka at the momment?
