Here is something for the mad house (new engine rated 2500+)

I read about it yesterday at winboard forum, and downloaded it right away and ran about 40 games. First impression too strong for my third division similar to WBEC.

Enjoy

Clone!!

Remember, I said it first.

Clone of, errm, uhh...

Eden!

That versioning scheme should make you all very suspicious.

No, wait, ... ummm...
At least the author doesnt claim that it is 100% original.
Update Oct 5, 2007 - Sloppy 0.1.0 released!
The first version of Sloppy is finally here, creatively named Sloppy 0.1.0. Plenty of coding, testing, stealing and not caring about one's health went into it, but it was worth it. The result is a somewhat well-featured, adequately documented and reasonably performing little program that I'm proud to share with the five people who care.

Yeah, that's my baby. I wrote it as a programmer, not a chess player. So naturally evaluation was the hardest part. But I'm already in the process of rewriting the eval, starting at king safety. Version 0.1.1. with some improvements to search, eval and configuration is underway.

If anyone's curious what else I may have borrowed, the source code is there for everyone to see.

Ilari

I dont think anyone is going to check your source code to find how much you borrowed because you gave proper credit to everyone.
