Deep Frenzee 3.0 as UCI: hash size?

Post by Jouni »

It never uses more than 15 MB for hash. Is this normal?

Hi,
you do not want to play against the engine?
UCI is only for analysis.

Hash under wb works ok - and too with wb2uci - so you can analyze with wb too.
Here is the readme:
Deep Frenzee 3.0 - by Sune Fischer
Release date: october 10th 2006

=================================================================
What is Frenzee?

Frenzee is a Fischer-Random-Chess engine.

=================================================================
How do I play a game?

Frenzee supports the WBII protocol.
You must install Frenzee a WB engine in either Winboard or Arena.

If you want to use the Fritz interface, you can get Frenzee to
play through an adapter.
Be aware that this is not an ideal situation, for instance the
book learning and contempt factor will not be working.

=================================================================
Can I use it for analysis?

You can use Frenzee for analysis in both WBII and UCI mode.

Hi,

I read (!) faq.txt and saw, that analysis as UCI is working. But it never uses more than 15-16 MB for hash. And value in frenzee.ini is not helping
either.

I have no idea where you are running Frenzee at as UCI, but i would assume chessbase. I know nothing of Arena, But when you use the adapters and run it in chessbase, it uses close to 100mb hash, when you figure in pawn hash, etc. If you are running it in chessbase, and cant get it to use more than 15 mb hash, email me at geotsp8@aol.com and i will send you my engine folder set up ready to load.
