1. Can you tell us more about this node count modified version? :)

Yes of course, I have the unmodified version of Rybka! :o
(Rybka 2.3.2a mp w32 performs identically to Rybka 2.3.2a mp x64, just slower, I have checked that!)

Did you get this latest result with hash=1024 MB and 1 CPU?
Then I must conclude that your "node count modifed version" also modifies the evals in the PVs.
What type and GHz is your processor?

I have the pansy Q6600, not overclocked, total is 9600mhz
4 gig ram.
I am running Windows XP Pro 64 full version and
Windows XP Pro 32 full version.
I ordered a new dell and then soon as I got the pc, I dumped the hard drive, and then did a clean install with two boot partitions---one 32 bit and the other 64 bit. That way, for testing I am running a true comparison to check kns and "time to solve" on the same pc.
In the past i have built my game pcs but this time I did not want to spend extra to build the QX at 4 gig x 4 because I thought maybe the 8x systems might get cheap. So this quad is fine for me for now.

Build 70: tries to reign in extensions in QSearch but is not successful enough, extensions only allowed if depth > -1 instead of depth > 0, still QSearch explodes on ply 9, does find Ne3 at this depth what Build 69 does not. Changes in search_full.cpp:
By using depth > -1 instead of depth > 0 you will increase extensions.
