Petir ran for me under Arena 1.1, but I would get occasional losses on time from memory.
Don't think I added a command line parameter.
Somebody else is bound to be more helpful hopefully.

Petir 4.9999 works fine for me under arena 1.1, no special commands are required. May be it is an athlon specific issue. Only issue I have noticed with Petir is that it doesnt like incremental time controls.

Petir4999999.exe works very well in Fritz9 (with Wb2Uci) on an AMD 3000+ using XP sp2.

it worked for me perfect under Arena 1.99 beta 5.
I used the commandline parameter xboard.
