Spike 1.2

Big Lion 2.23(although here it seems that the engine will only play from book as white...strange but it is probably the Revelation interface)

Isn't BigLion a Winboard engine?
If you're okay with Winboard engines using the wb2uci adapters, I can list more engines with a book built into the exe.

nothing to " "about Graham
i thank you for mentioning Queen 4.03
i am kinda sorta out of my league here and finding UCI engines with books built in is like looking for a needle in a haystack
there are so many Free UCI engines out there i couldn't possibly download them all and then load them into the Rev to see it they have a book(a process that does take some time and effort)

Queens Gambit Regards

Best to you,

Thanks Gerold
it seems Delphils book is not incorporated into the .exe file but rather is in a separate file
so i could not get it to play with a book in the Revelation

so far i have only 4 Free UCI engines with a built in book (book in the .exe file):
Spike 1.2
Queen 4.03
WJ 1.64
Big Lion 2.23(although here it seems that the engine will only play from book as white...strange but it is probably the Revelation interface)

Hi Steve,

Sorry not to pick it up sooner, but BigLion's book is not built into the exe.

I can download Ruffian 1.0.5 uci and play it without loading
a book in. I think the book is in the same file.

I think( Yace Paderborn) has book build in.

Best to you,

Gerold.

Thanks again Gerold
i tried Yace and could not get it to run from book
i should have mentioned that there are already 8 "on board" engines built into the Revelation which will run from the Revelation processor with no need to Blue tooth link to a PC
Ruffian 2.1 is one of them
the others are..
Toga 1.0
Toga1.2
Fruit 2.1
Fruit WCCC 05
Deep Sjeng 1.8
Deep Sjeng 3.0
Rybka 2.2

all of these programs are built into the Revelation by express permission of the Engine authors

the Revelation does also have the ability to link to a PC (via blue tooth) and then use any UCI engine and play at the speed of the host computer
so its new(not already built in) Free UCI engines with books i am looking for

all of the built in engines have their own books (except for DS3.0 )

Thanks again
Best Regards
Steve

Hi Steve

I've compiled Mediocre Chess 3.32 by Jonatan Pettersson (http://mediocrechess.blogspot.com/ )
and embedded it's opening book into the exe. It may work for you.

Hi Jim
first let me say that i am very grateful that you would take the time and effort to embedded the book into Mediocre and i thank you very much!

i downloaded the engine and sadly the program does not run from book
this must have something to do with the Resurrection interface and sadly i do not know how it works from a programming standpoint
i do notice that when i unzip your file a "book.dll" file appears in addition to the .exe file
the UCI Server for the Rev can only accept one file(the .exe file )to be loaded ..so perhaps this is the reason it doesn't work for me

again my hearty thanks
Steve
