Hello again ComputerChess !

Post by Sedat Canbaz »

Hello ComputerChess Friends :)

I'm so glad, becouse i am coming back again to my hobby - ComputerChess.
Yes...i could not stay far away for a long time from ComputerChess life, the reason:i love ...

Nowdays i hope to run only opening book tournaments, becouse currently i am feeling still a little bit tired.
For this reason i dont plan to release any new version of Perfect book.
As evrybody knows, creating very strong books its needed a lot efforts,time...

And i am pleased to announce:SCCT IV Book Tournament is started:

Hi Sedat,

Are your tournaments only open to ctg books?

I am asking since some people are trying to promote the completely free and open Polyglot book format. This format is easy to implement and is already understood by a number of programs (most recently Hamsters).

There are a number of publicly available PG books. It would be interesting to test these as well.

Regards,
Michel

PS. I went through the trouble of writing out a detailed specification of the PG format at http://alpha.uhasselt.be/Research/Algeb ... ormat.html
