I concur, Steve. I expected by now to be able to buy a Drueke chess table with a built-in program featuring a selectable chess player (c, b, a, expert, master, senior master, grandmaster, world champion), and made with auto-sensory technology guaranteed for life.
What bothers me most about computer chess?
Well, if you are just looking for ideas, even though they are not changeable, I have one, which is also the honest truth about what bothers me most.
And that is, that the work is not yet completed, and I wished it had been completed about 10 years ago, to the level which I THINK it will reach in about 5 years from now.
According to Vas of Rybka, he has plenty what to do till Ryba 6. And by the sound of it, it will by then be JUST right!
For my own personal life, it would have been more welcome 10 years aGO.

It could be done. We have the technology.
actually Matt ..there were a few legendary chess tables made with built in chess computers
two that i know of..
the First was made in the 1980's by an East German company and given away to private individuals :
the other by Fidelity ..and again not released for general sale:
Steve

What's my next move? - to the fridge for another beer !!
yes i have seen this same auction now about 3 times
there seems to be a problem with this seller actually completing the sale after the auction is ended?
