Lying is a willful intent to deceive another.

It might also be that Vas in the depths of his heart really planned to give us R3+...but somewhere along the way an event, or a string of events caused its delay. I would call this a failure and disappointment on Vas' part, but by no means a lie.

It is another thing if Vas said he would release R3+, but in his heart and mind, he had no intention of ever releasing it in the first place. Then this would be a lie.

In fairness we can never be able to tell the what goes on in Vas' mind and heart, but it would be for everyone's benefit if we leave him the benefit of the doubt. Conflicts in the ComputerChess world might depress him and give him some "Ivanchuk-like" ideas. Now we wouldn't want that to happen.

Until R4 isn't released yet, there is still a chance we will see R3+.

And for the conspiracy theorists, technically perhaps we have already seen R3+ in the form of RXXXXXXXX

indeed, this could be solved the problem.
On the horizont different engines are ready for take off. A question of time only.

Yesterday I saw a website with thousands of Rybka-Rybka games (different opening books only). I am thinking OK Frank, much computer chess people will see a new try with such a kind of testing.
After an "3-Years-Break" I wonder what the community do.

Unfortunately, the reality will be ... I am three years older and with more years more topics I can't understand.

The Robbo / Rybka topic is perhaps the doctoral theses by Rolf. Never saw a person which such an energy to clone topics. Rolf to do mischief, seems that this topic will give him the element of life. Outright OK for me, I have full understanding for everyone.

And for sure:
One person seems to be to 100% lucky :-)

BTW:
Noboday else ... suddenly Fabian turn up.
This should be a horror vision for the Rybka-Rybka opening book freaks. All games should be replayed and all the opening books should be available in new versions.
Hi Frank,
You certainly mean the Sedat opening books tournament....yes,it's logical to test the various opening book with the strongest officialy available chess engine....

I can understand perfectly your statement, but all I've asked of before is a simple elaboration from Vasik's side, nothing elase and I repeat again that I have nothing against him what so ever....it's just these 2 issues:
1.The release of the promised Rybka 3+ was canceled with no further explanation....
2.The claims that the new cursed engine is actualy his stolen source code with yet again not bothering to prove it....

Last 4 years of this syndrome with rybka domination, some are having major symptons ;) All we need is some competition for number 1 engine, people are bored. If the other engines were within striking distance this wouldn't be an issue :)

Peace!
Yep,we're freaks and the good thing is that we know that

Hi Wael,

think so.

Sedat do all the time a really good work. I used his Shredder GUI opening book for my tournaments and some other books from him.

Do you have a look in MyBook by Gudzovatiy?
This opening books seems to be really interesting.

BTW: Fruit / Toga family ...
After more games the different between Cyclone xTreme 19.09.2009 and Cyclone xTreme Wrath is around 20 ELO. TogaII 2.0 is on the level from Protector 1.31b. Protector 1.32 isn't better as Protector 1.31b. With longer time controls Protector seems better als Cyclone xTreme Wrath ... STOP ...

Confuzius :-)

Best
Frank

PS:
Have a lot of fun with the still running engine tournaments.
Older times come back ... :-)

I am extremely happy that you've come back Frank and that you're having a lot of fun with the chess engines tournament :D
Frankly speaking  ,I don't have time to look at these opening books, all I know is that their authors are consistantly improving and tunning them mainly by playing the Najdorf sicilian opening....
When I have time I play the chess engines and I've improved so much since the year 2002....since then I've played over 800 games at long time controls....I'll give you some examples in the next post 8-)

In the last game I posted I have a move that I am proud of,I've tricked the engine by giving it a pawn and then to pin his knight and go for a win....

[D]2rr4/p5kp/1n1Np3/2p2p2/8/2RR4/PP3PPP/6K1 b - - 1 24

24....Rb8!
after this move you can see the engine going down the way of darkness....

Now the stupid move in the endgame that cost me the win....

[D]8/8/4pk2/3n1p2/7P/R4PP1/P3r3/6K1 b - - 6 39

39....Re3??

Here's what Deep Fritz 11 told me after the end of the game:

39. Kg1 Re3 $4 {
weakening the position} (39... Rc2 $142 $19 {a pity that Black didn't try this}

Yeah,I know,Deep Fritz 11 says that I am a sore patzer but I don't give a damn
Cheers,
Dr.D

Hi Weal,

yes, yes ...
The only problem I have is a Netbook for a friend and the configuration I am working.

Looking tomorrow night in the games :-)
Your games with Fritz 12 GUI, Game Analyzer and Scid.
I will kill four birds with one stone faster as a QuadCore.

Have a nice evening.
Of course, the others too ...

Best
Frank
