This was driving me up wall as Fritz refused to report more than 1 cpu, however, with the line mt=4 in crafty.rc, task manager reports 99% cpu usage, meaning all 4 cores are being used. I was earlier running the engine without crafty.rc in the directory. With this setup, task manager reported 25% cpu usage.
Is Crafty 23.1-win64.exe MP

Re: Is Crafty 23.1-win64.exe MP
I've been thinking about this and have a followup question:
With all other multi thread engines, task manager reports 4 instances of the engine, each using up between 24% and 25% of cpu usage, however with Crafty 23.1-win64.exe running and mt=4 in crafty.rc, task manager reports 1 instance of Crafty 23.1-win64.exe running, taking up 99% of cpu usage.
Am I correct in assuming that with task manager reporting 1 instance of crafty taking up 99% of cpu, crafty is using all 4 cores?
Please explain the technical differences between the different task manager outputs.
Thanks
