They share a lot of ideas so the playing style may not differ much except that Hannibal will be much smarter in the endgame.alpha123 wrote:When do you think Hannibal will be ready? Also, will it have a Twisted Logic-ish style, Twisted is one of my favorite engines (partly because of the name ).
Good luck on Hannibal,

Re: Twisted Logic 20100131x
I'm having trouble running the 32 bit version of Twisted under my 64 bit version of Windows 7. It will execute, but does not generate output nor accept input. The 64 bit version works fine, and funnily enough the 32 bit version works fine on my 32 bit XP machine. My 64 bit machine is a T4300 based machine, my 32 bit XP machine has an AMD Turion processor.

I know it's not helping you, but the 32-bit version is running okay under 64-bit Windows 7 here.tmokonen wrote:I'm having trouble running the 32 bit version of Twisted under my 64 bit version of Windows 7. Re: Twisted Logic 20100131x
I thought it might have been a dependency issue at first, but that doesn't seem to be the case. The only dependency the 32 bit version has is the standard system file KERNEL32.DLL.
Two other symptoms. The 64 bit version creates 3 text files for logging purposes (dumpfile.txt, errfile.txt, logfile.txt), but the 32 bit version doesn't. Also, at the point where the 32 bit version seems to hang, it consumes 100% of one of the two CPUs in my system.

I have uploaded a generic executable. I hope it solves the problems. Please download the package again.tmokonen wrote:I thought it might have been a dependency issue at first, but that doesn't seem to be the case. The only dependency the 32 bit version has is the standard system file KERNEL32.DLL.

Thank you Edsel. I tried it, and it did the same thing. I wouldn't worry about it too much, the x64 version is the preferred one for this platform anyway.
