Komodo 1.0
Has anyone else noticed that Komodo appears to be better at long time controls than short ones? see IPON list vs. WBEC Ridderkerk. IPON is based on short games and Komodo is 100 ELO weaker than Stockfish, but on WBEC Ridderkerk (standard time controls) Komodo is performing better than Stockfish in the current tournament. Granted WBEC is based on fewer games than IPON, but it makes me wonder if Komodo is generally 'underrated' in peoples minds because it peforms worse at short time controls.

There are other factors to consider.FlavusSnow wrote:Has anyone else noticed that Komodo appears to be better at long time controls than short ones? see IPON list vs. WBEC Ridderkerk. In WBEC, Komodo will have one thread verses 2 threads for Stockfish.
In other lists, Komodo will have one thread verses 4 threads.
Once there is a threaded version of Komodo, expect it to make a big jump in lists like CEGT and CCRL that have SMP testing with 4 cores.

Hello,
if you consider only short time controls vs. long ones, keeping all other factors unchanged, here are the CCRL results:
