what if you pay 125 us dollars for smp rybka 4 and then find stockfish, firebird etc. is stronger.

vas is good but is he good enough to make rybka 4 stronger than rybka 3 and still have strength left above rybka 4 for commercial rental?

are you going to purchase rybka 4 if you find out that version 4 will beat version 3 very few times in testing?

remember this is the same guy that sold rybka with a dishonest tachometer.

i will pay an extra $50 for an honest tach

since when do other engines give updates beyond a bug fix? I never heard of Fritz doing this.

Like I said devastating. COMPLETELY stopped me from using the program.

You get TONS more communication from the Rybka forum than you do from other engine developers. I have lost count of the number of personal emails & messages Vas has replied to - but I never got a single word out of some of the other programmers

Anyone who has been able to be so far ahead in this domain, for as long as he has - I want to keep him (=Vas) in the field and if my modest purchase of his next release helps towards that, I'm happy to do it. Plus I'm sure I'll have tons of fun with it.
