Anand new Fide #1?

I hadn't seen any information on this however I'm assuming it's true since he gained +47 against Topalov. That would take him to an outlandish 2834!
Close to Kasparov's all time high. Leaving the mercurial Carlsen in the dust.

He can never gain +47 in 12 games with a result of 6.5:5.5.
What you probably have seen was a performance of +47 which
is of course a huge difference.

Are you sure you know the difference between performance rating and rating gain?
