Everyone is subject to the same rules.
Bob is a lot more circumspect than many but that does not mean carte blanche. It is a democracy here.
Personal attacks has nth to democracy. Democracy <> rudeness.

Re: Biased moderators
I think Bob would be fine as a moderator. His biases should not affect his moderation abilities.Wayne Lowrance wrote:Robert Hyatt comes to mind. He is very biased concerning Vas and Rybka. He is totally oblivious that some recent clones are strongly suspect. How in heck could all of these free programs come out almost at once and so strong. I expect Robert Hyatt will run for moderator. I am total against this.
Btw, the current moderators are doing a good job under very difficult times in my opinion.
Being biased is not the issue, everyone is biased one way or the other about lot's of things. It's more about how likely it is that those biases influence your decisions.
Example: Joe and Fred get into a fight and throw personal insults around. The moderator and Joe are friends and the moderator does not like Fred.
What will the moderator do in this case? I guess it shouldn't surprise anyone, but many people in the moderators position would tend to view Joe's insults as much less offensive that Fred's, even if they are equal or in some cases Joe's are actually much more serious.
