Great theory. I wonder what does it say about people who keep bashing the testing groups for using different engines or testing conditions from their favorite.
That's a good question. But I don't take any study too seriously.

There are studies that "prove" certain races are superior to others and studies that lend evidience to almost anything you want to believe. You can use such studies as information to process, but never let a study do your thinking for you.

What does this study imply about people who seem to have a strong hatred for Rybak and it's author?

This study was used as a way to hurl an insult at me - so what does the study say about anyone that would do that?

Why do you constantly bring race into the issue? Last I checked this is a chess forum not a place to add pc rants.

And if you really want to talk to race -- you seem to want to force everyone to agree that the races are equal in every respect. This is a fundamentalist approach no different from that of a die hard racist.
To me an anti-racist who believes the races are equal in every respect is just as prejudiced as a racist who believes in absolute racial superiority of one over the others.

On the subject of football teams and cheering for rybka or houdini -- that is the essence of being HUMAN - You cheer for your team , your nation maybe even your race or whatever connection you can draw with the team. In a boxing match between two of the same race -- people still cheer rabidly for one over the other - same with football - chess engines whatever.

It adds color to your life -- only a pc person would want to remove this enjoyment from someone .

Some people hate rybka - because its on top and they suspect vas may have stolen code - so they cheer rabidly for something else -- more power to them -- it makes them happy.
Its all part of being human -- it IS illogical but that is what being human is all about. ..
