What makes you think I have Rybka?Graham Banks wrote:Yawn.Cubeman wrote:"The usefulness of a list is easily measured by the number of visitors during a given period. No need to take into account anything else."
I don't agree with that statement how can you measure the usefulness by the number of visitors? By that logic you can print crap and have some keywords like sex, porn, etc and say that your list is useful.
Why not state that you are free to test anything you like but choose to omit some engines due to personal choice.
The "Complete" list is also misleading as someone who knows no better would think that it covers all the engines there are.
Lucky people can use Google and type in free best chess engine and will steer clear of your bogus lists.
As I said, everybody is free to look at whatever lists they want.
All your carrying on won't change a thing. Go away and play with your bogus engine.

CCRL home page has the following.
Our members are free to choose any engines they like to test, as long as the testing is done under conditions stated below.
And I see no reason why Houdini can't join in. Or are you so sure about what will be tested that you have complete control on the other testers form all the 9 countries.

No, I don't have control over any of them. I'm only one tester of many.Cubeman wrote:CCRL home page has the following.

Then why say earlier that "All your carrying on won't change a thing" Maybe some other CCRL tester might want to test Houdini and other engines after reading my critical postings. It's seems you state for sure that it won't happen. Also how does one become a member of this group? Do you have to be vetted by the current members or elders, swear an oath etc?

We are not accepting new members at present.Cubeman wrote:Then why say earlier that "All your carrying on won't change a thing" Maybe some other CCRL tester might want to test Houdini and other engines after reading my critical postings. It's seems you state for sure that it won't happen. Also how does one become a member of this group? The current members have made the decision not to test the Ippo engines. Although they have individual choice, they accept that group togetherness is more important in times like these.
All this has been stated before.

Actually, you would be surprised how little it takes to bribe some people. A few free Rybka engines, a personal email form the programing god himself. The next thing you know, you are in the fanboy club. Right Banks?Graham Banks wrote:That's fine Chris. It's our hobby, so we'll continue to enjoy our testing regardless. IPON and other great lists will surpass these lists that have had their time.
