Hello John,

I believe that these modules need to be purchased. If I am incorrect and I have erred please send me a p.m. and I will allow the link to be restored.

I need to err on this side of cautious.

I hope that you understand.

Later.

Hello John,

In light of Ron's post, I apologise to you for altering your post. I truly did not recall that this material had been posted before. Please send me a p.m. with the link and I will restore it. No hard feelings I hope?

Later again.

Maybe you should delete this old thread too?

Ed Schröeder (the author of Mephisto) made the emulator available a while ago. You can find more info on my Chess Engine List page, look for "Mephisto"

I don't know what you deleted but the MM IV and MM V are released for free by Ed Schröder. The Emulator is also legal as long as it does not come with "ROM's" of Modules.

You can use the Emulator with the MM IV and MM V Rom's by Ed and it is completely legal.

Hello Alex,

I have already p.m.'ed the o.p.

Once he re-sends the link I will edit his message.

Thanks for the clarification.

Sigh.

So little time....

:-)

I would never post anything that was not legal. Since the admin here, in it's infinite wisdom, deleted the link , the admin can find it on the internet and repost it.

Hello John Karger,

I am the relevant Admin.

I apologised to you here.

I apologised to you by p.m.

I apologise to you again.

I admitted that I deleted the link in error. I admit to not having infinite wisdom. I admit to not knowing all the members here.

Surely a minimum of gracefulness could have produced a better response than this bitterness.

I admit to being human and you are taking this as a personal affront.

I do not know you at all so how could it be personal?

Be that as it may, you are your own man. Re-post the link or or not, I cannot do anything else but ask you.

I hope that when you err, that others are not as harsh and as unyielding as you have shown yourself to be, and that they are willing to look past the error to see the man.

Later.

I wonder how levels of play can be setted in, by example, MMV...I only get a screen with a kind of keyboard to enter the moves and nothing else.
