My choice

Post by PauloSoare »

I chose my path. After all the discussions on the subject Rybka x Ippo, I decided to give credit
to who deserves one. I made a donation to the development of Houdini, I'm not trying to influence
anyone to do the same, I'm wanting that you know by me, and not by others.
The truth must be told, even if it causes me to lose the sympathy of some members of CCC, and
especially the Rybka forum.
I will continue to buy chess programs, (I have almost all).

I still think that Rybka is one of the best programs in the world, and that
Vas is one of the best programmers.

Everything you said sounds reasonable to me.

I made the same decision as soon as Houdini 1.5 came out and donated as well.
Why did you feel forced to announce it?

Because I have always advocated Vas here. Some people that like the Ippo family
are not friendly, and I would not want to be accused by them of being hypocritical.
Robert Houdard have been educated here in the forum, and showed that it is a good
programmer, was congratulated by GM Larry.
