GoDaddy is notorious for shutting off access to its domains almost instantly upon expiration. talkchess.com was probably redirected to the parked/expired IP within 10 seconds after midnight, Arizona time (-700 GMT) on Sunday morning. From there, it's a matter of how fast it trickles down to the various nameservers. . Somebody on a provider whose nameserver doesn't update frequently may never notice a problem.
