Hello Martin, that is the problem with positions like this. Houdini is not correct IMHO. This looks clearly winning, it's better to move the pieces yourself (even using the engine to guide you if needed) and then after a few forcing moves it may begin to see the light. Although, I could be wrong, it would not be the first time, but I think it's unlikely here. The black queen is badly overworked and I cannot see how black can hold.

Re: Test position, Queen sac, that appears to be winning!
Given enough time, Rainbow Serpent can find 3. Ne4. But to see it to the end of a Bishop endgame is too hard, at least on limited hardware of the Athlon. Serpent gets no further that +0.16 when running at half the processor to depth 29. It becomes more clear when I start another search in parallel five plies deeper along the PV, in multi PV, now a Bishop endgame at the end of the PV that looks winning. Checking this endgame in a third copy of the Shredder GUI, with Shredder and Shredder bitbases, it is quickly winning, but the evaluation function of Stockfish gives no more than approximately pawn and a half as a static evaluation. If you take some "jumps" like with this simulation of three engines checking points along the PV, this maybe is less risky if the line is reasonably forced, you should maybe be able to "create" higher scores or if you had some very specialized endgame knowledge, but that is probably too cumbersome.

place. Therefore, if you write the code as cleverly as possible, you
are, by definition, not smart enough to debug it.
