Zappa and mate Extensions

Post by mhalstern »

Zappa Mexico II comes with a Mate Extensions uci option, however, it is disabled by default. Why is it disabled by default? In what situations would it be benefical to enable it?

Hmmm... tricky!

I started running "extension tests" several years ago, and reported that the only extension I found any benefit from was the basic check extension. Others have tested and some agreed, some did not. Perhaps Anthony tested and decided it was not helping him either, but left it in for those that wanted to use it (it will help you find a mate quicker, but it wastes time otherwise)...
