Post by George Bodkin » Fri Apr 08, 2011 10:24 pm

Does anybody have settings for Zapper Mexico II. Somebody put them out on the Fourm a while back but I can't find

Thanks George

You are probably refering to these settings:

Zappa Mexico XIII (By Dr. Wael Deeb):

[OPTIONS]
Aggressive Futility Pruning=true
Eval Passed Pawn Scoring=102
Eval Pawn Scoring=102
Eval Minor Scoring=104
Eval Major Scoring=108
Eval Kingsafety Scoring=200

There is also my settings called "Dissident Aggressor". This is an insanely aggressive setting I created to play none stop attacks, which has the ability to find amazing attacks that other engine do not find. Although it is weaker than some, it's style is incredible to watch and play against, IMHO.

Thanks for posting this :D

These settings are being tested intensively at long time controls and after more than 600 games are 20-30 Elo better than the default....
But you have to test it against a wild range of opponents to achieve the improvement....
