Rybka 4 is a weak engine. D Rybka 4.1 is a lot better.

D Rybka 5 should be released in not such a long time and I hope it will be released at the end of Decemeber or somewhere in January 2012.

Wrong assumption, Rybka will start beta testing in January 2012. *

Rybka4.1 may be slightly better but Rybka4 is not a weak engine.
It is stronger than almost all engines.

I use mainly houdini1.5 and Critter1.2 and I did not buy Rybka after Rybka3(I did not like to spend money on Rybka when I saw that there are free programs that may be stronger or only slightly weaker).

No it's not such a good program. Houdini 2.0b is at least 100 ELO points stronger than Rybka 4.0

The 40 core Rybka cluster than you can rent is even much much stronger but that is only for rich people who can afford to spend such a price.

Rybka 4 is what I would consider by all standards to be a disappointment.

Rybka clusterx40, has anyone ever given feedback on it?

How much stronger is it?
Would it beat Houdini 2.0b, on basic good comercial hardware, 8-2?

Or is that far from sure?

I have no idea about the cluster but common sense tells me that cluster can beat Houdini on 8 cores because 40 cores is much stronger than 8 cores.

I will never be able to rent this cluster though because it is too expensive for me and currently I don't have the money for this. I don't even have enough money to buy a 8-core computer.

I'm still using an old Quad-core computer (not i7) because I don't have enough money to afford a stronger one.
