Critter 1.4a?

Post by ATOMICC »

1.4a is not listed on Vida's website ( http://www.vlasak.biz/critter/ ), so it doesn't sound like its an official release. http://www.mediafire.com/?w4x1kctds4oa9og Any more news on this version?

Hello !

Critter 1.4a was released on 17 January 2012 on iMMortal chess forum in its free zone : Engines and GUIs - Free Engines and GUIs - in Critter page number 17 - post number 335 by Mr. Richard Vida itself :

===============================================

Critter 1.4a - unofficial, unsupported, and only 64bit Sse4 build:

http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?w4x1kctds4oa9og

- tweaked SMP implementation
- sligthly decreased Queen value
- time management: try avoiding blunders in sudden death games when in time trouble
- time management: fixed losing on time whith "ponder on" games on opponent's instant reply
- improved pawn blockage detection (3B4/1r2p3/r2p1p2/bkp1P1p1/1p1P1PPp/p1P4P/PP1K4/3B4 w - - 0 1)

No guarantees about being equal/stronger than plain 1.4
===============================================

Have a nice day !

Silvian my friend....

If your approach with women is the same as with computer chess engines,then I envy every woman that had something in common with you :lol:
