DEEP RYBKA 5-release date?

Post by FriedmannC »

Does anyone know when or if DEEP RYBKA 5 will be released this year? I mean, come on, there have been 2 years since Deep Rybka 4 went out on the market and one year later Deep Rybka 4.1 came as a bug fix..... WHAT DOES IT TAKE SO LONG TO IMPROVE THIS REVOLUTIONARY ENGINE??

Hi, I expect Deep Rybka 5 to be stronger than Houdini 3 by at least 30 ELO points! I just want a new number one, that's all. Houdini won't get away this time; there are no miracles, no magic tricks and no escape when you have Deep Rybka 5 as an audience. All the best!

sorry. i don't think your "dream" will come true. IMO there will be no rybka5, or at least no rybka 5 beeing competitive again.

Why not? Vas says he is working on Rybka 5. Do you think he is lying? If he wanted to resign from computer chess, he could have told us so. Why lying and pretending he's still working on Rybka?

...and who wants Komodo for that matter!?
or Stockfish? or the rest!
:?

Rybka?
ha!
Vas R. has been idolized for years for his excellent programming, and hailed as a computer programming icon, a scientific genius!

but, c'mon...the incredible amount of innovative and completely original programming in Houdini is absolutely astounding!
and Vitruvius! oh my gosh! sheesh! don't get me started!
(suffice it to say that Rybka's genius pales in comparision :!:)

...what incredibly technical and skillful programming by R. Munter here!
creating such a fantastic, strong, and human-like chess engine is quite unbelievable!
he deserves all the acclaim if you ask me!
(i still lie awake at night w/ goosebumps in amazement and awe of his genial accomplishment)

yes, villianize/punish Rybka and Ivanhoe now!
all hail the truly worthy Houdini and Vitruvius!

I have never heard of this vitruvius engine. On which website is it found? Google brings up Leonardo da vinci and some roman architect.
