Can you repeat it with 3 minutes as well. IOS version tends to start very fast but stabilizes at up to 20% down.

I did this on iphone 5s. Begins @ 1100k and sticks to 850k after 10 mins. 3 minutes is tournament simulation to me but i forced until 20 mins too. At least we know it's hard to get a7 throttling...

I thought this was interesting - this position usually provides the nodes per second upper bound for a chess engine

Rumor is that it's like having an i5 processor - might bench about 50% greater than the 6s or 6s+.

Apple have stated that the iPad Pro can be up to 1.8 times faster than the current iPad Air 2. So I would not be surprised if it breaks the 3 million barrier.

Just saw today (MacRumors) that the A9X is only a dual core chip. Clocked higher than the A9 (2.26 vs 1.85), so I'm guessing only about 2.5 Mnps.

Seems really odd since the A8X is a 3-core chip.
