Re: benchmark new smartphones:
Thanks Bigler. When do you think you can test the excite pro?
Re: benchmark new smartphones:
Yes, i am satisfied, even so I believe we will soon see 8 inches tablets with either Snapdragon 800 and Tegra 4 that will have better nps.
Also for me it was important to have a device that has 3G connection.
Only downside with this tablet is that the screen is not "retina"

Can you also test it using only one core? I just want to have some comparison between ARM cortexA9 and Intel ATOM cpu of my Galaxy tab3 at the same clock at 1.6ghz. I set it the Intel CPU to use only one core and the result is around 150Knps.
thanks
Re: benchmark new smartphones:
I think it was around 230 kn/s
when I first tested, with droidfish, it didn't select the 4 cores but just one and I was wondering why under ChessBase online I had much better scores....

Re: benchmark new smartphones:
Thanks. 230Knps for each 1.6 ghz core of the A9 is so impresive. That puts it near the cortexA15 of the Nexus 10 if we estimate the results. In comparison, a 1.5ghz Qualcomm Krait CPU which is 3 wide and better overall next gen architecture achieves only 100Knps per core.

Re: benchmark new smartphones:
Opps! I tested it again. Krait is not 100knps per core but rather 120knps. But its still shitmclane wrote:Krait= shit.

Re: benchmark new smartphones:
So what does that mean ?
Snapdragon 800 will not be good for chess ?
I am egerly waiting first results of Tegra 4.
