Perhaps Gary can bail himself out of jail with his appearance money left over from the last Deep Blue match.

While I have some sympathy for the Pussy Riot band and their freedom of speech, the actions of some of their supporters is rather less endearing.
Chopping down a public monument to the war dead just because it is a crucifix does not win many friends, even when done bare breasted.

There is an active thread about this in CTFsje wrote:While I have some sympathy for the Pussy Riot band and their freedom of speech, the actions of some of their supporters is rather less endearing.

Both threads are growing, so it is better to have one, and I think it is better if we all continue in that thread.

I have to respectfully disagree! The fact that they did it bare breasted makes it very OK for me. Had they done it with their tops on I would have accepted throwing them to the wolves!

well i'm not a lawyer, but he did resist arrest, that's obvious.
On the other hand you would expect from the police to tell
him why he was arrested, not in Russia apparently .
it obviously was politically motivated, mr gk was simply
giving an interview and apparently got too much attention.
well dragging him into a police bus certainly didnt diminish
the attention; so this isnt really helping Putins cause obviously

PS shouldnt this discussion be in the 'chess thinkers forum" ?

Yes, I sent a hint before, but the thread kept growing. I then lock the thread. There are discussions about it in CTF already, so everybody can join it there.
