Actually I haven't a clue about this illegal thing - but we must not forget that
aged grandmasters in chess are not by any means rich people...
Way back in time it happened some of them actually died in poverty..
So - be either way - but it's not up to us to judge...

I agree bd6 is bad. It allows white to trade with knight,
Dominate dark squares with bishop, and keep
King in center. I also think blacks light squared
Bishop is badly out of play.
Given these positional considerations ....If this isn't the time for a benko gambit in reverse,
Then there is never a good time for that gambit .
There is one thing engines and ameteur humans have in common: we hate to be down material. I had to stay calm and not lash out at blacks position to try to equalise. I eventually opened up the middle, got all my pieces involved in an attack on the queenside, and won.
Sune let's say you and I are in a tourney match an we both have
Plenty of time on the clock. B4 has just bren played. Which side would you rather be on?
There are some positions that the computer does not think is best, but in fact that position offers the best chances for a human to win against a human
I'm wondering if the evaluations at earlier depths ( say 15 or 20) give a better indication of what a human should play. If you let an engine search long enough it will often find the draw but humans aren't searching 30 moves deep

Clearly I prefere white - no doubt about that
As a matter of fact I would also rather play white - even if black played the
better Nfd7 instead of Bd6. Not sure that white's position is better - but I
always played the KID (just like Fischer:-) in my youth. So I'm more
familliar with the King's Indian from black's side - (and in your example
from the white side - since it's white who plays the aggressive KID with
a move ahead.)

For example after Qd2 then 0-0-0 black is not bad. Instead c3 then Qb3 and now 0-0-0 gives black a lot of trouble.
