a position beyond the scope of most top engines....

Post by Alibaba »

Hi,

[d]5rk1/1bN2rbp/pP1p2q1/8/4pp2/1Q6/PPN2PPP/3R1R1K w - - 0 1

what do you and your engines think about this position?
white has an extra pawn, but the figures and pawns of black are standing excellent for a mighty attack on the white king. So black is better here....what should white play?

Test your engines, what engine see that black is clear better here with a score more than -0.50, or better -1.00
give your engines a lot of time, cores and hash
time minium 3 min, max 60 min

a strong player, like a grandmaster could see that white is in trouble here....

good luck!

Regards

This is a hard position, black does seem to have a slight advantage.

And It seems Ted's anaylze(Komodo 5.1) Komodo seen horizon too early. That's really impressive.

After 1 hour on my machine (reaching depth 29), Critter 1.6 with 4 Gb of hash gives an eval of 0.00.
