This is terrible news. Thanks to Don for enriching my life (and so many others) with his many posts on the forum.

When I think of Don, words from Chaucer come to mind when he described The Cleric in his Canterbury Tales: "Gladly would he learn, and gladly teach."

We can all be sadden by Don's illness and be comforted that in the end we can have another afterlife. He gave us joy in his accomplishments in computer chess and he will be missed. My his family find peace and comfort!

I knew that Don was sick, but I did not believe that his disease was in such a late stage. This is bad news, very sad for me.
I will pray because God give strength to him and to his family.

Indeed, his continued posting here made me think he was doing OK. It isn't over until it is over, so I'm sure he will battle on as best he can. Best wishes to him and his family and friends.
