This is terrible news. Thanks to Don for enriching my life (and so many others) with his many posts on the forum.

When I think of Don, words from Chaucer come to mind when he described The Cleric in his Canterbury Tales: "Gladly would he learn, and gladly teach."

We can all be sadden by Don's illness and be comforted that in the end we can have another afterlife. He gave us joy in his accomplishments in computer chess and he will be missed. My his family find peace and comfort!

Don, I'm thinking of you during this difficult time. I will miss you here.
For such moments in life there are no words.
Thank you for everything.

Don, hold on!
Maybe, I can't be friendly, but let me be useful.

Thank you, Don, for providing us with Komodo, and for your many, many helpful (and interesting) posts.

Tears are filling my eyes ...
Very sad that this would happen so soon... I think we were all wishing he'd be around longer. Big thanks to Don for all he has given us. He will be missed. Words can't do justice to the man.

I will pray because God give strength to him and to his family.
Indeed, his continued posting here made me think he was doing OK. It isn't over until it is over, so I'm sure he will battle on as best he can. Best wishes to him and his family and friends.
